Yoga teacher Jo Betts and her husband John O'Connor created Onespace Studios together after years of hiring spaces and lugging equipment around.
This is a beautiful yoga community based on the suffolk/Essex border in the picturesque town Manningtree. Onespace is a friendly learning space for everyone regardless of age, gender, beliefs and ability. We are non exclusive and are committed to EVERYONE in equal measures.
The studio offers Ashtanga Yoga, led practices and self practice five days a week. We also offer Hatha yoga, pilates and hot Yoga.
A variety of yoga practices have been mindfully put together in order to create a refreshing schedule, tailored to suit all levels of experience. Complete beginners are welcomed whole heartedly and are encouraged every step of the way.
Onespace studios is staffed by a warm and friendly team of highly experienced professionals. This is a relaxed and genuine place to study and practice yoga with like minded friends.

Ashtanga Vinyasa - Hatha - HOT YOGA
Jo stumbled across yoga in her late teens. She taught herself many postures on a towel in her bedroom studying from a book she discovered in the local library in her late teens. This was the beginning of a life-long love affair with yoga philosophy and practice.
Jo practiced many different styles of yoga including Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha until her attention turned to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga after attending a class in Finsbury Park, London in the mid 90's.
Jo gained her formal 200hr teacher training certificate at Londons, 'Life Centre' in 2009.
To accompany her practice and teaching Jo trained with one of Ashtanga Yogas finest teachers Rolf Naugokat in India for six weeks of every year over the last six years, up until COVID 19 arrived. Along side teaching Jo continues to develop her own practice under the guidance of authorised level 2 teacher
Jo pays great attention to detail and offers clear, precise instructions to meet her students requirement. Modifications and adjustments are always offered by Jo. She encourages everyone to work at their own pace with a kind and attentive approach to practice.
PILATES & Yoga
Chris was a professional dancer up until his early thirties. The life of a dancer is short lived so he later turned his attention to Yoga, pilates and body working. Chris offers an extensive knowledge to the Onespace team having worked his entire professional career in the movement arts industries.
Chris has a keen interest and fascination in all body types, shapes and sizes. He enjoys understanding how varying anatomy functions optimally as well as acknowledging potential challenges varying body types may encounter. He relays his knowledge beautifully and shares is insights in a down to earth and practical way.
He offers a wonderful, humorous and light approach to learning, sharing and un picking the matrix of the body.
Hatha & Ashtanga Vinyasa
Vicky has been practicing yoga for well over a decade. She has practiced with many wonderful teachers throughout her life. She has explored Iyenga, vinyasa flow, Hatha and more seriously in recent years Ashtanga Yoga.
Vicky says ' i was never a sporty type or interested in fitness and health at all really. But one day i notice an advert for a yoga class and thought that it looked alright for a physical activity..... first lesson in and i was hooked!"
Since having completed her formal training in 2020 doors of opportunity have opened and now she finds herself
in Onespace Studios.
